Our Process

Diamond’s commitment to quality means we take our process very seriously. Each step is designed to ensure you receive the best finishes every time.

Custom Color Matching

Diamond Prefinish’s in house custom stain matching service gives us the freedom to offer a much faster turnaround time, allowing us to provide a consistent high-quality finish that can always be replicated. Every project receives a job-specific color code, which we call a DP number so that if you ever need to touchup your project or complete a different project with the same color, it can easily be done.

Preparation

The key to a strong finish starts with preparation. Depending on your project it will go through several stages of detailed preparation, from cleaning to sanding to masking.

Finishing

Our specialized facility is equipped with spray booths designed to achieve quality results. At Diamond, your project will go through several stages of finishing including priming, painting, staining, and/or clear coating.

Quality Assurance

We pride ourselves on our quality of work, and all projects undergo rigorous quality assurance (QA) checks prior to being considered complete. If we find something that needs to be refined, it will be resolved and rechecked by a supervisor before the job is finalized. Once your project has successfully passed our QA inspection, you will be contacted to schedule pick up.

We take pride in our clean, organized shop, where each team member understands the impact they have on making your project a success. Our facility and team are trained to ensure quality at every step.

Our spray booths allow us to use almost any type of finish: fire-retardant treatments, primers, paints, stains, lacquer, varnishes, and polyurethanes.
